Best Vegan Breakfast Spots in London

Are you visiting London for the first time? As vegans, we often wonder if there are many vegan options in places we visit.

I recently visited London for the first time, and was pleasantly surprised that there were so many delicious options for me. There has been vegan-friendly cuisine in every area, though I understand how great it is to set intentions when traveling, so here are some of my favorite foods since I arrived.

1.   Krispy Kreme. I know what you’re going to say… it’s all sugar… BUT have you ever had coffee and donuts? ☕️🍩Certified top tier quick brekky bite 😋 We have Krispy Kreme in the US, but in London was the first time that I saw the vegan donuts. I went to the location in the Hammersmith Underground before checking into my stay, and it took less than a minute for me to get the goods. My chocolate donut was delicious!

2.   Balans. Famous for their pancakes, which I actually had at night because I wanted some sweets for dinner. There were also dinner options available, yet I was so happy I could satisfy my night-time sweet tooth with a delightful vegan pancake breakfast with maple syrup, banana and berries. I went to the location at the Westfield mall, but there are other Balans locations throughout London, as well.🥞

3.   Giraffe. This was the first place I went to because there is a location in the London-Gatwick Airport. It was 6am, I was exhausted, but Giraffe rejuvenated me with a yummy smoothie and scrambled tofu ‘eggs’, Linda McCartney sausage, roasted vine tomatoes, flat mushrooms, avocado smash and bloomer toast. I had to take a box to go because it was so much food and so much yum 🤤

We all know, Breakfast is the best way to start your day. It’s also one of the most important meals, as it can make or break your energy levels for the rest of the day. So, if you want to eat a healthy breakfast in London, I have some tips for you:

  • Don’t go off plan by skipping breakfast altogether! Since we all know that skipping breakfast makes us feel tired and lethargic later on in the day (and now we have science on our side), this is not an option here (especially with all the walking to be done in London). Instead, find something tasty and healthy that will keep those hunger pangs at bay until lunchtime rolls around — or even longer!
  • Try out new foods while exploring London’s many neighborhoods – there are plenty of places where tourist flock every single day during peak hours, so chances are good there’ll be something new around every corner worth trying out at least once before leaving town again.
  • And of course, don’t forget to take photos or videos. You do not want to travel back home without these memories 😉

Cuisine is such an alluring aspect about exploring a new city. Places that seem interesting are often featured in travel magazines, people from London will tell you their favorite, and social media can offer you a hint of what other people had to eat. Options are limitless, so choose your favorite place and enjoy!
