3 Ways to Balance Your Musician Lifestyle and Mental Health
1: Stay Organized 2: Take A Breather 3: Accept Help From Others I met a mindset coach named Suzanne Polinski a couple of weeks ago, and she showed me and my peers a great way to keep organized in the hectic music industry: The 2019 Rock/Star Planner is personalized for musicians to balance out their work life, marketing/finances, deadlines and time for family/friends. 2. This being said, I have noticed throughout the years that when we musicians strive to focus primarily on music … we tend to fall into the bad habit of sacrificing important things (like our physical and mental health) so that we can put more time into…

5 Tips to Optimize Your Tour
Consider The Costs Establish The Team Construct an Action Plan Rep Your Best Work Network, network, network! When you go on tour, the first question that may come to mind is… where will you go? This may be based on where your fans are, or it may be based on the venues you have locked in for a certain period of time, or it may be based on other excursions that require travel, or you and your band’s schedule outside of music (do you have a job you have to return to a week later? How I Met Zara Larsson
During the summer of this past year, I started to volunteer for Sofar Sounds Long Island. I began my contributions by checking in guests, and with time I became an essential live sound engineer for the Long Island branch. Have you ever heard of Sofar Sounds? Sofar stands for “Songs From A Room,” and it’s a music events startup was founded in England. Its mission is to build a community by uniting artists and guests together for secret shows in intimate settings, and it has grown to have over 400 participating cities around the world. My car needed a new alternator in the beginning of November, so I was at the mechanic…

I Made A Remix of My Own Remix?
Way back when in 2015… I made a little experimental cover of Somewhere Over The Rainbow. I listened to the cover a couple of days ago and was shocked about how much I have learned since then. I thought it would be fun to put my new production insights to the test, and so I present to you: the 2018 remix!

Wearable Tech: The MiMu
Musician and entrepreneur Imogen Heap has brought something phenomenal to the world: The MiMu Gloves! They remind me of a theremin that you can wear. There are so many settings to it and it’s over $1000 per glove, but hey if I had that type of cash available I would totally get one, 1000%. They don’t look very comfortable but I’d do it for the music. I’m honestly shocked I have never heard about The MiMu until about a month ago, as they have been in development for a couple of years now. Check out the video below for yourself to see the possibilities you’d have with it!
