Gear Gab: JamMan Stereo Looper JML2
Let’s talk about my looper pedal!
I LOVE loops, so of course my first post about gear is about the JamMan Stereo Looper JML2! This device was gifted to me by my amazing boyfriend for my 20th birthday almost 2 years ago, and I’m about to tell you about how my experiences have been with it. BUT FIRST, check out these pics so you have an idea of what it looks like and what the possibilities are from the get go:
Check out the video below to hear me using the JamMan Stereo Looper JML 2 at a LIVE show for the first time!
- There’s a reverse playback button! I love looping tracks and then making it sound all wonky and then bringing it back to normal with this feature.
- You can save your loops on an SD and upload them to your computer, yet the looper automatically saves up to 100 projects as well!
Cons
- Emits lower sound frequencies that are harder to hear in certain live settings (or in recordings at live settings).
- The built-in metronome sounds a little annoying, but you can adjust it to fit any tempo and you can turn the volume all the way once you’ve looped your own rhythm section (or you can keep the metronome if you want)
